Software Engineer III - Java/J2EE, Eligibility Systems (Remote)

Info Labs Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer III (Java/J2EE) to help enhance a large-scale, mission-critical public-sector benefit-eligibility platform. This is a 100% remote, long-term contract role.Work authorization: U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders only. This role is visa-independent - no sponsorship is available.What you'll do:Enhance and maintain a high-volume Java/J2EE eligibility application across the front-end, back-end, and middle-tierBuild automated, guided workflows to streamline benefit application, re-evaluation, and change processingDesign and develop using Struts, Spring, JAXWS web services (top-down and bottom-up), and JBoss deployments against an Oracle backendLeverage AI/ML and agentic-AI coding tools to accelerate code delivery and releasesParticipate in code reviews and walkthroughs, support testing prior to deployment, and provide on-call support as neededRequired skills:8+ years of J2EE application development (front-end, back-end, and middle-tier)Strong experience with Struts, Spring, and JAXWS web servicesJBoss application server deploymentOracle SQLSolid grasp of multiple design patterns and third-party middleware8+ years working with web and application serversNice to have:Shell / Groovy scripting and LinuxHands-on experience with AI-assisted or agentic code developmentExperience with a modern welfare / Medicaid benefits eligibility or case-management systemThis is a remote role open to candidates across the United States.
