Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Deliver exceptional surgical patient care in a high-volume setting as an experienced RN in the operating room. This contract role offers a dynamic work environment in an advanced 19-suite OR department, handling approximately 55–60 cases daily spanning a variety of specialties.Schedule & Call Requirements:10:45 am–9:15 pm, rotating days offWeekend coverage approximately once per quarterOn-call every 7th weekend on average (30-minute call response time)No weekday call for general RN roles; specialty call only if within your scopeHoliday shifts rotated with permanent staff, requiring flexibilityDesired Qualifications & Experience:Active RN license with a minimum of 2–3 years of recent OR experienceProficient in a wide range of surgical services (excluding major pediatrics, transplants, C-sections in main OR)BLS and ACLS certifications requiredExperience with Meditech EMR is preferredDemonstrated reliability and professionalism with strong attendanceCapable of adapting to a fast-paced, full-service surgical environmentScrubbing skills are a plus, though not mandatoryMust reside at least 75 miles from the facility address as verified by driver's licenseRole Responsibilities:Circulate and assist in various surgical procedures in a collaborative OR teamContribute to safe patient care with a focus on best practices and safety protocolsEngage in thorough pre- and post-operative assessments and documentationCommunicate effectively with surgeons, techs, and interdisciplinary teamsParticipate in departmental orientation and integrate well with permanent and temporary staffEnjoy the support of a dedicated nurse manager and utilize top resources including 24/7 pharmacy and respiratory therapy, and scrub uniforms provided.
