We’re Hiring:Executive DirectorSalary: $80,000–$100,000 annually, based on experienceSchedule: Full-time, approximately 40–50 hours per weekLocation: WillimanticThe Windham Chamber of Commerce is seeking a motivated, hands-on Executive Director to leadthe development and growth of programs that serve veterans.This is an opportunity for a community-minded leader who can turn ideas into action. The ExecutiveDirector will work closely with the Board of Directors to launch veteran programs, developcommunity partnerships, oversee staff and operations, and build the funding needed to sustain theorganization’s programs and salaries in future years.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and quickly launch meaningful veteran programs and servicesBuild relationships with veterans, community partners, businesses, and government leadersCreate and execute fundraising strategies, sponsorships, and eventsIdentify grant opportunities and support grant writing, management, and reportingDevelop an annual budget and monitor organizational financesRecruit, supervise, and develop staff and volunteersPlan veteran events and at least one fundraiser per quarterServe as a visible spokesperson and advocate for the organizationKeep the Board informed of programs, finances, funding, and organizational progressWe’re Looking for Someone Who HasA bachelor’s degreeNonprofit leadership or management experienceDemonstrated fundraising experienceKnowledge of grant writing or grant administrationExperience developing programs, services, or community initiativesStrong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skillsExperience working with veterans or veteran-serving organizationsThe ability to work independently, move projects forward, and meet deadlinesMilitary service is not required.
