Perform all upgrade operations as neededincluding set up, preheat, clamping, grinding, blending and visualinspection of welds, in order to restore castings to close tolerancesdetermined by our customer standards. Work from Weld ProcedureSpecifications (WPS), drawings, sketches and specifications using avariety of measuring tools to check tolerances and interpass / preheattemperatures. Produce NDT quality welds using .045 to .093\" dia. weldrod. Use and maintain proper weld rod per alloy. Based on experience,assist in the development of new techniques for repair of castings.Perform TPM, adjustments, and assure calibrations are current on weldingpower source and related equipment. Maintain processes, procedures andrecords in accordance with Nadcap requirements. Requirements: Two tofour years related experience. Must be able to pass a position 1GVee-Groove weld qualification in a 300 Series Stainless Steel weldplate. Qualification includes visual, PT, RT, bend and tensile testingof the weld. Must be able to pass and maintain all requiredcertifications including weld tests as required by ASME Sec.IX,MIL-STD-1595A, S9074-AQ-GIB-010/248 & 278, and AMS 2694A; or equivalent.(For example: Must be able to produce sound welds in accordance with thespecifications listed above, welds subjected to one or more of thefollowing tests: visual, PT, RT, bend, tensile, hardness, metallography,and charpy testing) Must pass and maintain acceptable vision examinationin accordance with the above specifications. Must pass and maintainwelder workmanship training and certification in accordance with thecompany program. Must be able to read and retain information on workinstructions specific to the weld program.
