Learn More.About The JobOur Yard Workers are one of the most important roles at WillScot. Without YOU, we cannot get our Storage and Office Units out on time and in proper shape. Our growing branch is looking for an individual to lead a small team of our Yard Workers. This is a working lead position where you will ensure the WillScot Storage Units and Offices are cleaned, repaired and in working condition so they can be rented out.We OfferCompetitive payCompany bonusFull benefitsPaid Time Off 401k What You'll Be DoingWhat You'll Do as our Lead Yard Worker: Supervise 3+ Yard Workers in the day-to-day completion of their jobs.Assigning daily tasksMonitoring and signing off on work completed to ensure units meet quality standardsCompleting and submitting all work orders for the YardConducting periodic safety checks (PPE and ensuring policies are being followed)Coaching and training Yard WorkersClean, repair and ensure all Storage Units and Offices are in working condition and ready to be rented. This will include:Sweeping and hose outChecking A/C if applicableReplacing tile or epoxy flooringRepairing drywall holesCleaning windows, blinds, doors, floors and wallsReplacing light bulbs, locks, blinds, door handles, etcPaintingMinor weldingMinor electricDocuments work completed and verifies units either need further repairs (red tagged) or are ready to rent (green tagged)Ensures the supplies are replenished and the Yard is both organized and is free of debris and potential hazardsOther duties as assignedEquipment Used And ResponsibilityMopPaint and painting materials (bucket, brushes, rollers, stencils)Dry wall putty and masksWelderFloor cleanersMaintenance tools for repairsComputerEducation And QualificationsEducation and Qualifications:1-2 Years experience with general labor and general repairsHigh School DiplomaWelding experience preferred1+ Years of Lead experience preferred1+ Years of coaching and training experience preferredIntermediate computer skills (e-mail, spreadsheets, word processing, database)Additional Physical RequirementsAbility to lift 50 lbs. regularly on a daily basisAbility to work outdoors in extreme weather conditionsAbility to work with a variety of hand tools in a proficient mannerAbility to climb a ladder up to 25 feetAbility to drive/travel in truck for multiple hours on a daily basisEyesight and Auditory Skills must be sufficient to meet safety expectations of the positionAbility to stand and perform manual labor for multiple hours on a daily basisThis posting is for a(n) Existing Position.Disclaimer: This posting describes the general nature and level of work performed and does not represent an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, skills, or physical abilities required.
