Event Security (Part Time)

This role focuses on game days, concerts, and other large-scale events, requiring strong awareness, communication, and customer service skills. This is a part-time position. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGreet and direct all guests to their assigned seating/locationEffectively able to read and identify credentials and tickets, with the understanding of proper access to the appropriate areaMaintain open and smooth access routes in the concourses and throughout the seating areaIdentify and resolve issues in a timely mannerRespond to guests' request for service and assistanceMonitor your assigned areaEnforce and uphold integrity of the facility and the eventPerform routine search procedures and entrances and exits and ensure that no prohibited items enter or leave Spectrum Center.Ability to proactively identify and address offensive behaviorAttend and participate in pre-event meetingsReceive and act on complaints from guests, clients and employees according to established policies and proceduresEnforce policies and procedures throughout the facility on a 24hr 7day a week basisFollow all rules and regulations as outlined in the policies and the procedures manualAid in direction of orderly evacuation of buildingMonitors and maintains access controlOther duties as assigned by Manager Essential Guest Service Functions:Guest service orientedRespond to requests for service and assistanceAnticipates and respond to the guests' needs in a timely mannerTreat all guests in a kind and courteous manner Required Skills, Experience and Abilities To perform the job successfully, you should demonstrate the following competencies: High school diploma/or equivalentMust be able to work a minimum of 85% of Hornets games and 75% of all other eventsAvailable to work evenings, weekends and holidaysThe ability to maneuver throughout the arenaThe ability to stand and walk for extended periodsThe ability to bend, and lift at least 50 pounds and push 70 poundsThe ability to work effectively at high altitudesStrive to maintain a safe work environment for self and othersMust be able to pass background checkProficient with the internet, E-mail, and Microsoft Excel and WordPossess excellent communication skills, oral and writtenGuest services and Security experience preferredAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyMust be able to work independently and use sound judgmentDemonstrates neat and professional appearance at all timesProactively enforces security policies and procedures
