Maintenance Specialist

Job Description Job OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and proactive Maintenance Specialist to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of our facility and machinery preventative maintenance and repair, and upkeep of safety and regulatory equipment. Additionally in this role, you will be responsible for special projects including assembling production fixtures, installing industrial equipment, and one-off assembly related items you may be assigned to support business programs and operations. Your expertise will help us uphold safety standards, improve efficiency, and support continuous production. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for hands-on maintenance work and problem-solving.ResponsibilitiesBuilding maintenance and repair.Machinery maintenance and repair.Monitoring and upkeep of safety and regulatory equipment.Complying with established rules and procedure for building security.Assembly of specialty production fixtures with safety and ergonomics consideration.Complete maintenance requests in a timely manner.Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reviews of maintenance related checklists.Coordinate repair activities from outside vendors for machinery/equipment/facility as needed.Order and repair defective components as needed.Pick-up and install required replacement parts when needed.Follow concept ideas for specialty items and complete a design and assemble within directed budgets.Follow all precautionary statements and use proper personnel protective equipment when called out by Safety Data Sheets (SDS) or other approved documentation.Follow all cleaning, handling, and containment procedures as directed by product usage labels or other documentation.Follow all Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) procedures and policies established by the company.Comply with all rules, procedures, and policies concerning the safe operation of equipment including but not limited to conveyors, mixers, pumps, compressors, and forklifts.Report any safety, quality, or regulatory concerns to management or HR immediately.Continually review work process and provide recommendations for improvements to management.Provide support to other manufacturing or warehousing efforts as required.RequirementsProven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.Strong experience with the operation of industrial equipment including mixers, compressors and forklifts.Competency handling industrial hand tools.Demonstrated ability for following complex instructions.Strong ability for troubleshooting through diagnosing problems with machinery, plumbing and electrical apparatus.Valid drivers' license.Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and stand 6-8 hours daily.We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.United Laboratories allows ESDS to provide us with priority referrals of protected veterans.United Laboratories, Inc. is a VEVRAA Federal Contractor.Company DescriptionUnited Laboratories, Inc.
