Electrical Superintendent Traveling Electrical Superintendent Cold Storage | Refrigeration | Tilt-Wall Construction Location: Nationwide Travel Required Key States: SC, TX, FL and GA Industry: Commercial & Industrial Construction We are seeking an experienced Traveling Electrical Superintendent to lead electrical scopes on large scale cold storage, refrigerated warehouse, food processing, distribution, and tilt-wall construction projects across the United States. This role is ideal for a hands on leader who thrives in fast paced environments, excels at coordinating multiple trades, and has a deep understanding of electrical systems supporting refrigeration and temperature controlled facilities. As a key member of our field leadership team, you will oversee electrical operations from mobilization through commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. What You'll Do: Manage and oversee all field electrical activities on cold storage, refrigeration, and tilt-wall projects. Coordinate electrical subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and utility providers. Develop and maintain project schedules, manpower forecasts, and daily work plans. Ensure installation complies with project specifications, NEC requirements, local codes, and safety regulations. Collaborate with Project Managers, MEP Managers, and General Superintendents to drive project success. Lead electrical rough in, underground, gear installation, controls integration, startup, testing, and commissioning activities. Coordinate power requirements for refrigeration systems, ammonia systems, blast freezers, evaporators, condensers, and warehouse automation systems. Conduct regular quality inspections and proactively resolve field issues. Manage RFIs, field reports, pull planning sessions, and coordination meetings. Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on every project site. Assist with project turnover, punch lists, and owner training activities. What We're Looking For: 5+ years of electrical superintendent or electrical field leadership experience. Proven experience on cold storage, refrigerated distribution, food processing, freezer warehouse, or large industrial projects. Experience managing electrical scopes on tilt-wall construction projects a plus Strong understanding of: Medium and low-voltage power distribution Refrigeration system power requirements Building automation and controls systems Generator and backup power systems Fire alarm and life safety systems NEC standards and construction best practices Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and BIM coordination models. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel extensively and work on projects throughout the United States.
