Where passion meets opportunityThe best of your adventures is the one you have yet to sail!Your PurposeMSC Cruises is seeking an Interim Trade Events Specialist to support the team during a leave of absence from approximately April through October 2026.This role is responsible for planning and executing key MSC Cruises trade events, including sales trade shows, inaugural events, sales meetings, industry events, and Advisory Board meetings. The Trade Events Specialist will coordinate closely with executives, corporate stakeholders, shipboard and shore-based teams, and travel partners to manage events from the creative planning stage through final execution.This position requires strong organizational and project management skills, as well as the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to ensure successful delivery of high-impact events.This is a hybrid position requiring four days per week in the Miami office.Your ImpactSupport the planning and execution of trade events designed to engage MSC Cruises' B2B travel partner audienceAssist the Trade Events Manager in delivering high-impact events and lead mid-level events with team support as neededProvide on-site event support, which may include travel as well as occasional evening and weekend availabilityCoordinate a variety of event formats including trade shows, meetings, dinners, cocktail receptions, partnership events, and onboard eventsManage event communications including Save the Dates, invitations, and RSVP trackingSupport the trade events team with the corporate events platform and event logistics coordinationLead trade sales launches and roadshows in partnership with the B2B sales team and external vendors across the U.S.Support ship tours as neededProvide support to the Trade Engagement channel when requiredYour Journey so farCertified Meeting/Event Planner certification and/or a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field preferredAbility to travel and work extended hours beyond regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for eventsAbility to lift and handle materials up to 40 lbs on a periodic basisBasic understanding of B2B marketing and engagement tools, including PowerPoint presentations, email communications, and social mediaExperience working with vendors and external partners to support the execution of complex eventsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Forms, and Excel (Excel experience required for budget tracking and management)Familiarity with Cvent and Asana is preferredCruise industry or travel/hospitality experience is a plusMarketing or audience engagement experience is a plusYour EssentialsUS Passport or US Permanent ResidentMSC Cruises is an E-Verify employerOur commitmentWe are committed to building a future that values diverse perspectives, embraces the world beyond borders, and fosters an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued, respected and empowered to be their authentic selves.
