Junior Field Service Technician - Industrial Machinery

About the Role
The Field Service Technician / Engineer is responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting specialized industrial equipment at customer sites. This is a hands‑on, travel‑intensive role requiring strong mechanical and electrical skills, as well as the ability to work independently and represent the company in a professional manner.
This position requires 60‑80% travel, depending on project demand and service needs. Travel may fluctuate, with some weeks home‑based and others fully onsite. Travel is required throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Central and South America.
Responsibilities
Install and commission machinery at customer sites, including setup, calibration, and testing
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
Provide on‑site training to customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance
Complete service reports, documentation, and expense reporting
Collaborate with engineering, project management, and internal teams to resolve technical issues
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional service
Travel domestically and internationally as required
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
2‑5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance of industrial equipment
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and procedures
Proficiency with basic computer tools (Microsoft Office, email)
Willingness and ability to travel frequently (including internationally)
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Base salary 60‑75k with overtime opportunities
Travel allowances and per diem
