Control System Engineer

Job SummaryThe System Engineer I will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems within an industrial plant setting. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize plant processes, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure system reliability. The engineer will support a variety of tasks related to system design, integration, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSystem Design: Develop and design control systems, instrumentation, and automation solutions for plant equipment and processes.Integration: Integrate subsystems such as PLCs, SCADA, and DCS to create a cohesive and efficient plant-wide system.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to plant systems, minimizing downtime.Process Optimization: Analyze data to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks, proposing improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs.Maintenance: Oversee system maintenance, upgrades, and implement preventive measures.Compliance: Ensure that all systems meet safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental guidelines.Desired QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.Experience: 0-5 years of experience in industrial automation, control systems, or process engineering.Skills and CompetenciesProficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).Knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems.Familiarity with Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).Strong problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
