Medical Assistant

Job Description The Medical Assistant will support clinical operations in a primary care and cardiology setting. Chart preparation, telephone triage and authorization forms, working within a medium-sized team of 4-10 staff members. This role balances direct patient care with administrative responsibilities (ie. refills, chart prep, inbasket help), utilizing Epic medical software to optimize healthcare delivery at a single location. 13 Week Contract (TEMP TO HIRE)!Hours: 08:30 am - 5:00 pm - Mon-FriYears of experience: At least 6 months of experience working as an MA; Cardiology experience is preferred but will consider candidate with primary care setting experience instead, if necessary ResponsibilitiesPrepare patients for examination and treatmentMeasure and record vital signs accuratelyDocument medical history and relevant patient informationCollect specimens for laboratory analysisSchedule and manage patient appointmentsRoom patients efficiently to maintain clinic flow Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationPending License Accepted: MA-C is preferred but will consider MA-R Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR), especially EpicKnowledge of medical terminologyStrong patient communication skillsExcellent attention to detail.Company DescriptionWe have been in the industry for over 30 years, understand the challenges and felt the need to offer a higher service than the rest!Our team consists of medical and staffing professionals, that understand the value of personal relationships and high speed results.Q2H Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
