Senior Municipal Engineer

Job Description POSITION DESCRIPTIONWe are currently seeking a full-time Senior Municipal Engineer. Our team works with local communities on a wide range of civil, municipal, and environmental projects. We are looking for a Professional Engineer who would work with CAD Technicians, Construction Observers, Land Survey Chiefs, and office staff in various capacities.V&K BENEFITSBenefits available 30 days following date of employment, includes: Medical, Dental, Vision, Short and Long Term Disability, plus additional supplemental insurancesClothing allowance401k with company matchPaid Time Off and 9 paid holidaysPaid training and development on and off-siteRESPONSIBILITIESPrepare detailed technical engineering reports.Prepare or modify plans, specifications, construction schedules, permits, and cost and quantity estimates for public works projects.Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.Assist Project Manager in completing project within budget and on schedule.Client contact including attendance at board or council meetings.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering required.Minimum 10 years of civil engineering design experience preferred/desired.Iowa PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year preferred.Previous roadway, storm sewer, sanitary collection sewers and water distribution design experience desired.Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
