Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head is currently looking for a Part-Time Bartender to join our team!PurposeThe Latitude Bartender is on the forefront of Resident interaction with the dining program for the community. From daily operation of the restaurant and bar, to catering and special events.This is a position for an individual who routinely exercises good judgment and exceptional problem-solving skills. As the face of the dining experience, maintaining positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment is critical while maintaining standards and authentically delivering the Latitude Margaritaville Lifestyle.Key Responsibilities And AccountabilitiesStrong understanding of house cocktails, specialty drinks, and bar operationsHelp servers with alcohol related menu questionsMust be able to explain the chef's specialties; identify appropriate wines; answer food preparation questionsProtect establishment and Residents by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policiesStay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording Resident choices; identifying Resident special dietary needs and special requestsServe orders by picking up and delivering Resident choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service barsRespond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining processMaintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needsProperly open and pour wine at the tablesideObtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; returning credit card and signature slip to ResidentContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededPerform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisorBe willing to fill in for absent staff as neededAssist with special events as neededAdhere to grooming and appearance standards consistentlyPromptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary.Daily Operations And Customer ExperienceMaintains a high level of Resident contact throughout service hoursBuild strong, effective teams through ongoing supervision, training, coaching, counseling and leadershipCreate an “I Love My Job” environment that further enlivens the Margaritaville Latitude LifestyleEnsure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rulesMaintain a pristine dining area at all timesEducationTechnical competencies:High School Graduate or GED preferred.TIPS certifiedExperiencePrevious bartending experience requiredExcellent oral communication skills requiredPositive interpersonal skills requiredStrong understanding of Margaritaville brands of liquor/beer.Skills, Knowledge, And AbilitiesMust be willing to work nights and weekends.Strong knowledge of beer, wine, & spiritsCommunication skills (listening, verbal and written)Organizational skillsAttention to detailProblem solving skillsCommon SenseTeam player but can work independentlyHave fun!!!
