Position Overview
The State of Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS) is seeking an experienced Programming Analyst to join the EBT/EFITS Team. The selected candidate will develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications and databases using Natural/ADABAS and SQL while supporting mission-critical Human Services systems. The role involves the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), stakeholder collaboration, production support, and participation in an on-call rotation.
Note: There is an incumbent currently supporting this position; however, the agency is required to interview additional qualified candidates.
Required Skills
10+ years of experience with Natural/ADABAS development
Strong experience with SQL Development
Experience with SCL in a Linux environment
Advanced experience designing, developing, and enhancing large enterprise applications using Natural
Strong SQL query development skills
Experience gathering business requirements and designing technical solutions
Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including design, analysis, coding, QA testing, implementation, and maintenance
7+ years of experience supporting State Department of Human Services Systems
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to participate in an on-call support rotation
