The Teller I receives and pays out money, as well as accurately keeps records of money involved in various transactions.Responsibilities:Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts of deposit.Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.Balance drawer daily, including periodic batching of cashed checks.Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold notices.Preferred Skills:Experience using computer programs such as Microsoft Office and Microsoft TeamsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPrevious banking experienceQualifications:2+ years of customer service experienceCash handling experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredHere at Bank of Bird-in-Hand, we have a comprehensive benefit package for those who qualify.
