Production Manager - Food & Beverage
Position Summary:The Production Manager is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of products while meeting operational goals, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. This role oversees production personnel, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborates cross-functionally with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, and Human Resources to maximize plant performance.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage all daily activities within the Production Department to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency targets.Develop and execute production schedules in partnership with Planning to meet customer demand and operational objectives.Monitor production performance, downtime, labor utilization, scrap, and quality metrics to drive operational excellence.Foster a positive and accountable work environment through strong leadership, communication, coaching, and employee engagement.Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate production supervisors and team members to support individual and organizational growth.Partner with Human Resources regarding recruiting, employee relations, corrective actions, and performance management.Coordinate with Maintenance leadership to schedule preventative maintenance and minimize production interruptions.Collaborate with Quality teams to ensure compliance with standards, product safety requirements, and internal quality expectations.Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, equipment performance, production flow, and cost efficiency.Support capital improvement projects and provide recommendations for equipment upgrades and process enhancements.Analyze operational data and prepare reports related to production output, downtime, labor, overtime, attendance, and quality performance.Work closely with Supply Chain and Raw Material Planning teams to maintain inventory levels and prevent production shortages.Promote and reinforce a world-class safety culture while ensuring compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.Ensure customer delivery timelines and operational commitments are consistently achieved.Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic operational planning initiatives.Maintain regular and reliable attendance and support plant operational needs as required.Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. with a minimum of 6 years as a Production Manager and managing teams in a manufacturing environment.
