Senior Safety Engineer I (Night Shift)SUMMARYMortenson is currently seeking a Senior Safety Engineer I (Night Shift) that will be responsible for implementing Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety program across multiple project sites and ensuring a safe work environment for team members, subcontractors, and visitors to the construction work site.RESPONSIBILITIES* Implement and administer safety programs at worksites, including site-specific safety activities and training programs* Document and track safety violations, conduct safety audits, and analyze loss control data* Lead OSHA reporting, monitor subcontractor activities, and review safety submittals* Record, monitor, and analyze safety, injury, and hazard statistics* Provide safety-related information, evaluate industrial hygiene concerns, and maintain knowledge of safety standards* Serve as a resource for safety issues, attend safety meetings, and assist with major incident analysis* Work with client safety personnel, union representatives, and insurance risk engineers* Ensure maintenance and inspection of safety equipment and build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsQUALIFICATIONS* Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, or equivalent* OR* High school diploma with CHST Certification, OSHA 500, and a minimum of 10 years construction experience leading crews and planning work, to include at least six years as a dedicated construction safety professional responsible for managing project safety programs, conducting / reviewing hazard analyses and developing controls, conducting safety training, and planning work activities or equivalent experience in a relevant field* Minimum of four years of construction safety experience* Current valid driver's license* Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasks* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant safety software programs* Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills* Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies effectively* Willingness to travel up to 100%A few benefits offered include:* (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week)* Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverage* Dental plan* 401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson match* Paid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves* Employer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insurance* No-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resources* Tuition reimbursement* Adoption Assistance* Gym Membership Discount ProgramThe base pay range for this role is $89,500 - $120,800 (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
