They will be hands-on assisting with installs and issues. The Maintenance Supervisor will be expected to run a quality Maintenance team by exhibiting strong leadership abilities, setting expectations, and ensuring consistent communication.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead maintenance department team members to ensure quality, delivery and cost are continuously being improved to achieve company objectives.Observe, practice, and enforce all Department/Plant processes and procedures.Maintain maintenance KPI's and participate in weekly and daily improvement meetingsLead daily maintenance pre-shift meetingsAssist with managing the repair parts inventory.Create WOs, CPR's, and PMs.Respond to equipment emergenciesComplete equipment WOs/PMs as neededInstall new equipment and troubleshoot problems with existing equipment.Recognize and take steps to resolve operating problems to minimize their impact on the operations.Keep accurate and up-to-date records (i.e. timecards, downtime records, absentee records, etc.)Develop maintenance team's knowledge, skills, and abilities through formal training and other resources.Encourage suggestions from employees which will improve production, quality, safety and/or control costs of production.Keep maintenance manager informed on operating and/or employee problems which may require their attention or knowledge.Serve as an active member of Organizational Teams and Committees.Adhere to all safety polices and procedures. Follow through on all safety programs keeping safety as a priority to provide a safe work environment for employees.Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.Ability to work various shifts as needed80% on the floor 20% administrationAbility to act as back up for Maintenance Planner as neededPerform other duties as assigned.QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIREDHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Previous mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.Previous supervisory / leadership experience.An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job listed above.PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:Associate degree (A.S., A.A.) or two-year technical certificate in Mechanics and Electronics or a related field.5-7 years of experience as Maintenance Technician, 2+ years in leadership rollWorking knowledge of CMMS and SAPExperience in OEE tracking (RedZone)Excellent communication and interpersonal relations in interactions with co-workers, supervisors, the public, etc. Sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction in a positive and professional manner.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to effectively write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and in group situations.Ability to respond, verbally and in writing, to questions from internal/external customers/vendors at all levels including management.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, fractions, ratios.Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.Ability to learn and effectively utilize computerized maintenance management system.Knowledge of basic mechanics, welding, electrical, fabrication, preventative maintenance, and government safety regulations.Ability to proficiently juggle a multitude of tasks and prioritize.Ability to supervise department personnel in a fair and consistent manner.Ability to recognize problem situations and take appropriate steps to resolve.Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Position will include indoor and outdoor work being exposed to cold and hot temperatures. Exposure to loud noises, fumes and dust.
