Embedded Software Engineer

Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer – Embedded Software with deep expertise in GNSS navigation systems and algorithms. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing navigation solutions for embedded platforms. The selected candidate will contribute to complex engineering projects, provide technical leadership, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance navigation solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, implement, and optimize advanced GNSS navigation algorithms using C/C++ for embedded systems.Apply strong knowledge of estimation theory and navigation systems to create robust and accurate positioning solutions.Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering design, validation, testing, and analysis activities for large-scale or subsystem-level projects.Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper version control.Perform engineering inspections and evaluations to ensure systems meet regulatory and quality standards.Analyze engineering data to define and refine technical standards, specifications, and processes.Identify gaps in existing processes and propose improvements; support change management initiatives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, and implement enhancements.Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and algorithm validation processes.Support manufacturing and process optimization by contributing to system-level design and performance improvements.Deliver small to mid-scale projects aligned with established program management frameworks.Build and maintain effective relationships within internal teams and stakeholders.Technical Skills & CompetenciesStrong expertise in GNSS positioning systems and navigation algorithmsIn-depth understanding of estimation theory (e.g., Kalman filtering)Proficiency in embedded software development (C/C++)Experience with:Engineering design and development lifecycleSystem validation and testingData analysis and technical documentationKnowledge of:Project management principles (scope, risk, tracking, reporting)Engineering standards and compliance requirementsHealth and safety practicesStrong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Demonstrated experience in GNSS navigation algorithm developmentProven ability to work in embedded systems environmentsExperience working in collaborative, cross-disciplinary engineering teamsAdditional InformationThis role emphasizes hands-on experience with GNSS navigation algorithms and embedded implementation.Candidates must demonstrate strong technical communication and real-world application of navigation solutions.Only candidates with relevant and clearly demonstrated GNSS algorithm experience will be considered.
