Senior Resident Engineer/Construction Manager
This OpportunityWSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Senior Resident Engineer/Construction Manager for our Denver, Colorado office. Other locations include Boulder , Colorado Springs and Lakewood . Be involved in projects with our CM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challengesYour ImpactPre-construction phase:Conduct constructability reviews of design documentsProvide cost estimating and budget developmentHelp with bid package preparation and contractor selectionCoordinate with architects, engineers, and other consultantsScheduling and coordinating Pre-construction and Partnering meetingsConstruction phase:Monitor project progress against schedule and budgetIdentify and manage potential risksReview change orders and recommend approvalsOversee quality control and safety complianceReviews project activities with client and contractor's field supervision resolving disputes and other daily issuesOversees materials testing activitiesReviews daily inspection reports and other project documentationFacilitate communication between the owner, design team, and contractorsConduct regular site visits and progress meetingsAnalyze project data to identify cost-saving opportunitiesProvide recommendations for project adjustments as neededExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and proceduresPerform additional responsibilities as required by business needsWho You AreRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experienceRegistered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of CO or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.Minimum of 7 years of relevant construction experienceA demonstrated ability to read and completely understand contract documentsDeep understanding of construction practices, building codes, and project delivery methodsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholdersProven experience in construction management, preferably with a focus on owner representationProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policiesPreferred QualificationsCertified Construction Manager (CCM) preferredExperience working on city, county and or state construction projectsCDOT construction experienceExperience in one or more of the following areas: Highways; Rail; Aviation; Water; MiningWSP Benefits:WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career.
