Cable & Harness Inspector
Nesco Resource is looking for a Cable & Harness Inspector located in Brookfield, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM (OT possible after training cycle)Pay: $20-$22 Based on ExperienceJob Summary: The Cable & Harness Inspector is responsible for performing first article, in-process, and final inspections of cable and harness assemblies to ensure products meet customer and quality requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform first article, in-process, and final inspections of cable and harness assembliesInspect products to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standardsDocument and report non-conformances and inspection resultsFollow work instructions, travelers, and customer documentationVerify workmanship and accuracy throughout the inspection processSupport production schedules through timely and accurate inspectionsParticipate in quality audits and continuous improvement activitiesIdentify process issues and recommend improvementsWork with production and other departments to resolve quality or delivery issuesEnsure inspection tools and equipment are properly maintainedMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaPerform other related duties as assignedRequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical training preferredMinimum of one (1) year experience inspecting cable and harness assemblies or three (3) years assembling cable and harnessesKnowledge of cable and harness assembly methods and componentsFamiliarity with IPC-A-620 standards (certification a plus)Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and customer specificationsStrong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformancesBasic computer skills for documentation and reportingStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to stand, sit, and move throughout the day and lift up to 50 lbs as neededAbility to use hand tools, measuring devices, and inspection equipment, including magnification aidsNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
