Job DescriptionRH is seeking an Upholstery Associate to join our Dmitriy & Co manufacturing location in Los Angeles, CA. This role requires exceptional technical expertise and a true passion for craftsmanship. The Upholstery Associate will play a key part in bringing to life upholstery pieces that embody RH's uncompromising standards of quality and design. As a valued member of our team, you will refine your skills, collaborate with visionary partners, and contribute to our enduring legacy of artistry and excellence. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Accurately review and follow purchase orders, providing timely progress updates to ensuring workflow efficiencyApply upholstery techniques and production standards with precision, ensuring each piece reflects our commitment to exceptional qualityExpertly utilize hand tools and equipment, including staple guns, webbing stretchers, hammers, scissors, and select power tools, to assemble and finish upholstery pieces with precisionSafely handle wood frames and materials, utilizing assistance when appropriate to maintain both safety and craftsmanship integrityContribute to hand-sewing, specialty projects, and other tasks as needed, supporting innovation and excellence within the upholstery teamOUR REQUIREMENTS 3+ years of upholstery experience in a production, workshop, or design environmentProficiency in upholstery techniques, including cutting, sewing, webbing, padding, and finishingStrong time management and communication skills, with a collaborative and service-oriented approachProven ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with limited supervisionCommitment to quality, safety, and meticulous attention to detailConsistent attendance and punctualityPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Frequently lift and mobilize furniture and accessories in excess of 75 pounds while utilizing appropriate equipment and adhering to safety guidelinesStand, sit, and walk for prolonged periodsBend, twist, stretch, reach, stoop, climb, squat, kneel, push and pull frequentlyManeuver effectively around the workroom floor, and loading docksGrasp, move, and assemble materials and products with handsDistinguish and evaluate differences in color, shade, and brightnessAbout UsRH is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any applicant on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, marital status, age, disability, sexual orientation, military/veteran status, or any other status protected by federal or state law or local ordinance.
