Modernization Architect
Overview
In this Senior Principal role, you guide clients through large-scale technology transformation by turning legacy mainframe code into modern, cloud-native systems. You’ll combine deep z/OS know-how with cloud, DevOps, and AI-assisted engineering to re-architect mission-critical workloads for hyperscaler platforms. Expect cross-domain collaboration to extract business logic, automate refactoring, and prototype modernization accelerators. You drive meaningful impact by shaping future-ready architectures in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial team.

ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and document business logic from mainframe appsModernize and refactor legacy code with automated tools and AI agentsConvert monoliths to cloud-native microservices and event-driven designsBuild, containerize, and deploy workloads to cloud platforms (AWS or other)Prototype modernization accelerators and POCs using LLMs and code analysis toolsCollaborate with architects, operators, and data engineers to ensure secure modernization patterns
