Entry Level Civil Engineer (EIT)
Devo Engineering is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer (EIT) to work in at our Orlando office. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment to utilize their related experience and to develop professionally. This position is eligible for a flexible hybrid work schedule.What Is Devo EngineeringDevo Engineering is a small geotechnical firm based in Orlando. The firm includes a team of highly skilled and experienced geotechnical engineers, groundwater/geotechnical modelers, and field geotechnicians.While our experience is primarily in Florida (all counties), we have also worked intensely on the English-speaking Caribbean islands. Each engineer and geologist on staff have over 15 years consulting and/or construction experience since graduation.Responsibilities· Preparing technical reports, specifications, drawings, permit applications, and proposals· Assisting with civil design, landfill design, landfill gas design, and site layout· Geotechnical site characterization· Performing fieldwork associated with construction and site investigations· Preparing construction material quantities and cost estimates· Coordinating subcontractors (e.g., drillers, analytical laboratories, etc.) Minimum Qualifications· B.S. in civil engineering or related field· Designation as an Engineer Intern (EI), or acquired within one year of employment· 0-2 years’ experience.· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite· Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving recordPreferred Qualifications· Working towards an advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in civil or geotechnical engineering (or related field)· Experience with AutoCAD, Corel· Experience with Wordperfect· Understanding of geosynthetic material types and their applications· Ability to obtain P.E. registration within four years of employmentFor more information about this position, please email anushka@devoeng.comFor more information about Devo Engineering please visit http://www.devoeng.com/
