AWS DevOps Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to join a growing engineering team responsible for designing, building, and operating scalable AWS infrastructure supporting AI, Data Science, and enterprise application workloads.
In this role, you'll work alongside Platform Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and DataOps Engineers to build modern cloud infrastructure, improve CI/CD automation, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and security best practices across AWS environments.
This is an onsite position in Downtown Houston, TX (5 days per week).
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
Build, enhance, and automate CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tools.
Develop automation solutions using Python, Bash, and Shell scripting.
Implement and enforce security and compliance controls across AWS resources and repositories.
Support Kubernetes and containerized application deployments.
Manage deployments across AWS, on-premises, and multi-platform environments.
Improve platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and production issues.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on DevOps best practices.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of AWS Platform Engineering or DevOps experience.
5+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (CloudFormation experience is also acceptable).
5+ years of experience with GitHub and/or GitLab.
5+ years working with Linux/Unix environments.
Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as:
GitHub Actions
Jenkins
ArgoCD
GitLab CI/CD
Experience with Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.
Strong understanding of AWS networking, cloud architecture, and security best practices.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or similar)
Experience supporting AI, Data Science, or enterprise platform environments
Experience integrating compliance and security automation into CI/CD pipelines
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Automate Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Build compliance integrations into CI/CD pipelines.
Develop automation using Python and Shell scripting.
Improve deployment automation and platform reliability.
Collaborate with engineering teams to support cloud infrastructure initiatives.
Work Environment
Onsite in Downtown Houston, TX
Monday–Friday (5 days onsite)
No remote work available
Occasional travel to the West Houston office may be required
Interview Process
45-minute virtual technical interview (Microsoft Teams)
Final onsite interview with the engineering team

Pay: $90.00 - $109.00 per hour
