Intern, Research & Data Analytics (Fall 2026)

SummaryThe U.S. Travel Association is seeking a Research & Data Analytics Intern to support the collection, analysis, and reporting of key travel industry metrics. This role offers hands-on experience working with real-world data and contributing to industry strategy and policy.ResponsibilitiesCompile data on travel industry performance, including air travel, hotel metrics, international visitation, consumer sentiment and related indicators.Assist in analyzing survey data, including reviewing for inconsistencies and validating responses.Assist in creating and support analysis of event evaluation surveys.Support research on travel trends, including America 250-related activities and impacts.Develop presentations and briefing materials by effectively communication research results internal and external audiences.QualificationsCurrently pursuing a degree in Economics, Data Analytics, Public Policy, Hospitality, or a related field.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (experience with data visualization tools is a plus).Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.Interest in travel, tourism, advocacy and/or economic trends.What You’ll GainHands-on experience working with industry-leading travel data.Exposure to economic analysis and policy research.Opportunity to contribute to high-visibility reports and presentations.Mentorship and professional development in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.OtherPosition based in Washington, DC.
