Substance Use Disorder Counselor
Job Summary
The SUD Counselor at Agate Integrated and Behavioral Healthcare Inc plays a vital role in providing comprehensive substance use disorder counseling and support services to individuals seeking treatment at our organization. The SUD Counselor will work collaboratively with clients to address their substance use disorder needs and facilitate their journey toward healing and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
● Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' substance use disorder needs, strengths, and treatment goals, using evidence-based assessment tools and clinical interviews.
● Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on addressing their unique needs and promoting holistic well-being.
● Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to clients using a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI), among others.
● Facilitate group counseling sessions, psychoeducational workshops, and support groups to address common substance use disorder issues and promote skill-building and peer support.
● Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology platforms.
