Warehouse ManagerFull-Time | Management | Lithia Springs, GA2nd Shift, 2pm Start Time, Monday - FridayAbout the RoleBlue Harlan is the recruitment partner to this stable, growing wholesaler with a leading DC in the Atlanta Metro. We are seeking a hands-on, highly visible Warehouse Manager to lead day-to-day operations in a fast-paced pick/pack distribution center reporting directly to the DC Manager. This role oversees a team of approximately 50 associates, multiple shipping channels, and a complex transportation network including FedEx, UPS, drop-ship vendors, LTL, 3PL partners, and an internal private fleet with 12 overnight routes.This is a working manager role where you are expected to be on the floor, engaged with the team, driving urgency, reinforcing safety and training, and ensuring the work gets done accurately, safely, and on time.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipLead and execute daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory controlEnsure all customer orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately within required service levelsMaintain strong floor presence to coach, problem-solve, and drive real-time executionEstablish and enforce standard operating procedures for inbound and outbound freightTeam Leadership & DevelopmentDirectly manage and develop a team of ~50 associates and supervisorsSet clear expectations around productivity, quality, safety, and attendanceConduct training, performance coaching, and corrective action as neededFoster accountability, teamwork, and a strong sense of urgencyLEAN, Continuous ImprovementLead rapid continuous improvement initiatives to stabilize operations during high-volume growth, increasing throughput while reducing backlog and order cycle time.Analyze key performance metrics (pick rates, backlog, error rates) to quickly identify bottlenecks and implement data-driven process improvements that restore flow and accuracy.Establish and standardize scalable processes (SOPs, KPIs, workflow design) to define a sustainable "new normal" for consistent, high-volume order fulfillment.Safety & ComplianceChampion a safety-first culture through training, audits, and daily reinforcementEnsure compliance with company safety programs and OSHA standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready facilityTransportation & Logistics CoordinationCoordinate with FedEx, UPS, LTL carriers, drop-ship vendors, and 3PL partnersManage internal private fleet operations and driver coordinationCommunicate proactively with carriers to resolve delays, exceptions, and service issuesSystems, Reporting & Inventory ControlUtilize PKMS / AS400 and warehouse systems to manage inventory and laborGenerate and analyze productivity, accuracy, and inventory reportsInvestigate discrepancies, damages, and inventory variancesEnsure accurate documentation and timely communication with purchasing, sales, and operations leadershipCross-Functional CommunicationPartner with Purchasing, Sales, Finance, and Operations to support business needsProvide timely updates to senior leadership regarding performance, risks, and improvement opportunitiesKey RequirementsLeadership & ExecutionProven ability to lead large warehouse teams with a hands-on, floor-driven leadership styleStrong communicator who sets direction clearly and holds people accountableHigh sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize and execute under pressureResults-driven mindset with a focus on safety, accuracy, and throughputExperience & EducationAssociate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum 3+ years of warehouse or distribution center leadership experienceExperience in a pick/pack, high-volume DC environment strongly preferredExperience managing multiple shipping methods and carrier relationships along with a LEAN, Continuous improvement mindsetTechnical SkillsWorking knowledge of WMS systems (PKMS / AS400 preferred)Comfortable with productivity reporting, inventory audits, and operational metricsProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, email)Physical & Work EnvironmentMust be comfortable working in a warehouse environment with moving equipmentRegular standing, walking, and floor engagement requiredAbility to lift up to 50 lbs occasionallyExposure to moderate noise and varying temperaturesApply now to join this great team with strong benefits, growth opportunity, and an engaging culture!
