This role will work closely with the Lead Architect, taking ownership of engineering execution and platform delivery to free her to focus on higher‐level architectural strategy and design. The ideal candidate brings deep experience with API management platforms, integration patterns, and enterprise‐scale API governance.This is a full‐time opportunity based in Columbus, OH with a requirement of being onsite five days per week.Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise API management solutionsSupport the Lead Architect by driving hands‐on engineering, platform configuration, and integration workBuild, secure, and optimize APIs, policies, and gateways within the client's APIM ecosystemCollaborate with architecture, development, security, and operations teams to ensure scalable and compliant API solutionsTroubleshoot and resolve complex API, integration, and platform issues across environmentsImplement API governance standards, best practices, and lifecycle management processesContribute to modernization and integration initiatives across cloud and on‐prem platformsParticipate in code reviews, design sessions, and continuous improvement effortsProvide subject matter expertise to internal and client teams, reducing single‐threaded dependenciesRequired Qualifications Extensive hands‐on experience with API Management platforms (Azure APIM, Apigee, Kong, Mulesoft, or similar)Strong understanding of API design, REST standards, security protocols (OAuth, JWT, mTLS), and integration patternsProven experience building and managing API gateways, policies, and developer portalsBackground supporting enterprise‐scale API ecosystems and distributed systemsStrong troubleshooting skills across API, networking, and integration layersAbility to work effectively in a fast‐paced, highly collaborative environmentExcellent communication, problem‐solving, and technical leadership skillsPreferred Qualifications Experience with Azure APIM specificallyFamiliarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid integration architecturesKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation for API deploymentsBackground working with architects on large‐scale modernization or transformation initiativesExperience with microservices, containers, and service mesh technologiesSPONSORSHIP NOT AVAILABLEPowered by JazzHR
