The incumbent is responsible for increasing support and participation from alumni, parents, and friends, and will proactively work to help build the Business School’s major gift prospect pipeline.This position requires local travel as well as evening and weekend work to accommodate donor meetings and events.Essential FunctionsServes as one of the lead fundraising officers for the Gabelli School Development Team,providing strategic guidance on leadership annual giving and major giving fundraising.Manages a portfolio of approximately 150 prospects.Devises individual engagement strategies for each prospect in their pool with the goal of soliciting annual gifts and/or multi-year gift commitments of $25,000+, with specific solicitation goals to be determined in an annual goal-setting process.Assists with various projects, including stewardship efforts, volunteer opportunities, and campaign initiatives as needed.Represents the Business School at on- and off-campus events, supports special fundraisinginitiatives, and contributes to the overall goals of the Development and University Relations ( DAUR ) office, collaborating closely with colleagues to align fundraising strategies and donor engagement efforts.Develops strong relationships with Gabelli School faculty, administrators, and staff in order to identify and promote giving opportunities that support the Business School’s strategic priorities.Participates in University, Development and University Relations ( DAUR ), and Gabelli School activities and events, including dinners, receptions, and alumni campus visits as assigned.Essential Functions Note This list is not intended to be an exhaustive list.The University may assign additional related duties as necessary.Management Responsibilities Not responsible for supervision or oversight of others.Additional FunctionsRequired Qualifications: Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree.Minimum of 4 years of experience in fundraising, business, sales, or a related industry.Required Qualifications: Knowledge and SkillsDemonstrated successful track record of solicitation or sales efforts, advancing donors or customers through the pipeline.Strong communication skills, high attention to detail and follow-up, collaborative, and excellent organizational and project management skills.Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.Ability to confidently and comfortably engage with and solicit diverse constituencies.Expertise in Google Workspace; proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; and familiarity with relational databases (CRMs).Preferred QualificationsExperience in frontline fundraising and development in higher education.Demonstrated understanding of donor engagement strategies in all phases of development: qualification, cultivation, solicitation, close and stewardship.Experience with Ellucian Advance CRM , SAP Concur, and Zoom.Minimum Starting Salary $93,000Maximum Starting Salary $95,000QualificationsNote Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.Is this a Union position?
