Process Development Engineer

🚨 We're Hiring: Process Development Engineer 5B | Controls & Automation📍 Location: Assigned Plant Location (Remote During Travel Weeks)✈️ Travel: 40–50% (Supporting 4–6 manufacturing plants)We are seeking a Process Development Engineer 5B to lead Controls & Automation initiatives that improve manufacturing safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency. This role will partner with Operations, Engineering, IT, R&D, and Quality teams to design and implement innovative automation solutions that eliminate Dirty, Dull, and Dangerous (3D) tasks while advancing digital manufacturing capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement industrial automation and robotics solutions.Design, program, and integrate PLC, SCADA, and control systems.Lead automation projects from concept through commissioning.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes.Drive process optimization using Lean Manufacturing and TPM principles.Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and plant startups.Develop automation standards, documentation, and technical training.Ensure compliance with safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.Analyze manufacturing data to improve process stability and equipment performance.Qualifications✔ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).✔ 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, or manufacturing engineering.✔ Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial networking.✔ Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and process optimization.✔ Experience with automation platforms such as Rockwell and Siemens.✔ Python scripting experience is a plus.✔ Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.✔ Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
