That's why our guiding principle is simple and clear: SERVE Like a Pro-it's in our DNA Job Details The City of Plano is looking for motivated Public Works Equipment Operator or Senior Public Works Equipment Operator to play an important role in maintaining and improving the infrastructure our community depends on every day. In this hands on position, you will help repair and maintain City streets, sidewalks, and public systems that keep the community safe and running smoothly. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining City vehicles and equipment, calculating materials needed for projects, servicing water mains, taps, and valves, painting and flushing fire hydrants, and performing traffic control around active work sites. This role also supports the upkeep of public spaces by clearing trees, brush, and debris from streets, rights of way, and storm drains. The Senior level also helps guide and support team members by assisting with training and coordinating work activities while ensuring job sites are set up safely and efficiently.
