Position Type:Student Support Services/Transportation White Fleet DriverDate Posted:10/30/2025Location:TRANSPORTATIONBeaumont independent school district Job DescriptionJOB TITLE:White Fleet DriverCLASSIFICATION:Non-ExemptREPORTS TO:Site SupervisorPAY GRADE:AX4/ 180 DaysLOCATION:TransportationDATE REVISED:9/29/2021PRIMARY PURPOSE:Under direct supervision transports a small number of students from designated stops in a safe and timely manner..QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Certification:High School Diploma or GEDClass C License20 hour School Bus Certification Experience:Minimum of six months of driving experience MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Picks up students at designated stops and delivers students to designated locations in the BISD area.Completes the student code of conduct sheets and submits them to the supervisor.Performs all job duties in a safe and timely manner. Complies with local traffic regulations. Reports delays or accidents.Verifies that equipment is operating correctly. May be required to conduct pre-trip inspections.Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Little, if any, independent judgment is required outside of making basic choices in the selection and application of established methods. Decisions can have minimal or no impact on BISD. Errors can be readily detected, usually by the employee, and, if made, would result in minor expense for correction Communication/Interactions:Basic communication - very little communication is required other than for receiving basic instructions. Interactions are mostly with students, their supervisor, and co-workers in their department. Customer Relationships:Follows through with customer inquiries, requests, and complaints. Forwards difficult and non-routine inquiries or requests to the appropriate level for resolution. EQUIPMENT USED:Operation of 2-way radios, cell phones, and e-mailMay operate special needs equipment SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:No supervisory or direct people management responsibilities.
