Director of Finance Consultant

Overview:We are seeking an experienced finance professional to step into a hands-on, high-impact role supporting payroll and core accounting functions. This position will work closely with senior finance leadership and have a strong potential to transition into a permanent role.Key Responsibilities:Support bi-weekly payroll processing for a multi-site employee population (~500 employees)Partner with department leaders to review timesheets and ensure payroll accuracy prior to processingAssist with general accounting activities, including general ledger support, month-end close, and financial statement preparationContribute to audit preparation and year-end processes as neededCollaborate with internal teams to improve processes and ensure accuracy across financial operationsTake on increased ownership of payroll and related functions over timeQualifications:10–12+ years of experience in accounting, finance, and payrollStrong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)Experience working with payroll and accounting systems in a professional environmentHands-on, self-starter mindset with a proactive and problem-solving approachAbility to operate independently and adapt in a fast-paced environmentPrior experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or similarly structured organizations is a plusWork Environment:On site Monday – Friday, free parkingStandard full-time schedule (40 hours/week)Collaborative team environment with cross-functional exposure
