Summer Grounds (Temporary Summer Position)

Summer Grounds Helper Provides seasonal grounds services for Plymouth-Canton Community Schools. Must be 18 years of age, have good character and cooperative attitude, possess a valid State Vehicle Operator's License, and be able to work in inclement weather. Able to meet physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodations; lifting or moving 50 pounds or more. Prior experience on Zero-turn mowers and use of weed whips, edgers, and other lawn equipment is a plus.Major duties and responsibilities may include assuring all buildings are maintained to PCCS standards, picking up trash around school grounds, weeding flower beds, spreading dirt and mulch, cutting grass, weed whipping around buildings, and edging. Operates all ground equipment (light equipment). Bending, lifting, and overhead work required. Performs other duties as directed by the Maintenance & Grounds Coordinator.Reports to Grounds supervisor and the Director of Capital Programs and Facilities. Salary: $16.00 per hour.
