Electrical Engineer
*Job Overview*
We are seeking a versatile Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, sustainment, and modernization of electronic systems. This role is intentionally broad and is suited for candidates ranging from new graduates to engineers with several years of experience. The right candidate will be hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working across the full lifecycle - from concept and design through test, manufacturing, and field support. You will work closely with a small, high-performing team of engineers and technicians on a mix of new product development, reverse engineering, and upgrades to legacy systems.
*Responsibilities*
* Support and contribute to new product development, including circuit design, prototyping, and integration
* Participate in reverse engineering and modernization of legacy circuit cards and electronic systems
* Design electrical systems, assemblies, fixtures, and test setups in accordance with customer requirements and applicable standards
* Develop electrical schematics, drawings, and supporting technical documentation
* Perform analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging of electrical systems at the board and system level
* Support manufacturing efforts, including process development, test procedures, and quality verification
* Assist with environmental and reliability considerations, including shock, vibration, and ruggedization of electronic hardware
* Provide technical support to internal teams and customers, including documentation and issue resolution
* Collaborate across disciplines (mechanical, manufacturing, test) to deliver complete, practical solutions
*What We’re Looking For: *
* Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering and a willingness to learn quickly
* Hands-on mindset - comfortable working with hardware, not just design tools
* Ability to operate independently in a small team environment and take ownership of tasks
* Clear communication skills and the ability to work across disciplines
*Preferred Experience (Not Required):*
* 5+ years of relevant experience in electronics design, sustainment, or manufacturing
* Experience with reverse engineering or redesign of legacy electronics
* Familiarity with ruggedized electronics, including design for shock, vibration, and environmental conditions
* Experience working with mixed-signal or embedded systems
* Experience working with high voltage or 3-phase power
* Experience with transformer or inductor design
* Exposure to manufacturing environments or high-mix/low-volume production
*Tools & Skills:*
* Experience with CAD tools (e.g., Altium or similar) for schematic and PCB design
* Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, etc.)
* Basic simulation and analysis capability
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
* 0 - 8 years of relevant experience
