PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for assisting the dentist in the clinical treatment of patientsNew grads welcome. Training is available from experienced staff members. We believe that a happy team means happy patients.SPECIFIC DUTIESPatient Managemento Chart patients medical history, treatment notes, service rendered and any chargeso Perform clinical procedures as practice act allows and as directed by dentisto Check the daily schedule for accuracy and provide schedule to dental team as appropriateo Answer and respond to telephone calls with professionalismTreatment Room Management and Sterilizationo Keep dental units ready, stocked and cleano Oversee cleanliness of the treatment room according to sterilization procedureso Sterilize all instruments and handpieces according to OSHA regulationso Keep trays, instruments and treatment room drawers organizedo Maintain dental office emergency kits and nitrous and oxygen tanksRecords Managemento Securely store and handle patient records in compliance with state and federal requirements, including the HIPAA privacy and security regulationsInventory Managemento Monitor inventory and order dental office suppliesPERSONNEL REQUIREMENTSEducation/Experienceo High school diploma or equivalento Graduate of accredited dental assisting program or dental assisting experience preferredo Compliance with state dental practice requirements (e.g., x-ray requirements, OSHA training)Interpersonalo Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, other staff members and communityJob Type: Part-timeBenefits:Employee discountFlexible scheduleOn-the-job trainingPaid time offProfessional development assistanceLicense/Certification:Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certificate (Required)Work Location: In person
