Lead Machine Operator

Job Description Location: Chelsea, MAPay: $18–$21/hour (DOE)Shift: 2nd Shift - Overtime PotentialWe are hiring a Machine Operator for our 2nd shift bottling/packaging operation client in Chelsea, MA. This role is ideal for an experienced operator or someone ready to step into a lead operator role. You will safely operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment while ensuring quality food products are produced according to company and safety standards.Responsibilities:Operate, start, stop, and monitor bottling and packaging machineryPerform pre-op checks, routine inspections, and basic troubleshootingAdjust machine speeds and settings to meet production standardsPerform changeovers (film, labels, codes, supplies)Track downtime and communicate issues to Manufacturing TechniciansSet up and confirm correct labels, recall codes, and best-by datesMonitor product quality and work closely with QAMaintain clean and sanitary equipment and work areas (cGMP/Food Safety)Support production staffing needs and assist team membersCross-train on multiple pieces of equipmentQualifications:1+ year machine operating experience (manufacturing or food preferred)Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsForklift or pallet jack experience a plusBilingual preferredHigh School Diploma or GED preferredWork Environment:Refrigerated production facilityAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 lbsJoin a growing manufacturing team with overtime opportunities and growth into a lead operator role.
