Continuing education and creativity are important!ResponsibilitiesPerform grooming services including bathing, trimming, brushing, nail clipping, and styling tailored to each dog’s breed and individual needsHandle dogs safely and confidently using animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming proceduresAssess each pet’s coat condition and skin health, providing recommendations for ongoing care or veterinary referral if neededMaintain cleanliness of grooming tools, stations, and work areas to uphold hygiene standardsCommunicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructionsAssist with pet handling and training to ensure dogs are calm and cooperative throughout the grooming processSupport team members with animal handling tasks such as pet sitting or kennel duties when necessaryExperiencePrevious experience in pet grooming and animal handling is highly preferredExperience of breed grooms preferredKnowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plusExperience with animal restraint, pet care, and general animal handling ensures safe interactions with pets of all temperamentsJoin us to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners!
