This role focuses on improving access to oral health services while supporting prevention, education, and long-term health outcomes.Provide comprehensive dental care in a community health setting, consistent with your training, experience, and licensure. Examine patients, diagnose dental conditions, and deliver appropriate treatments and procedures. Advise patients on treatment plans and oral hygiene. Prepare and maintain accurate clinical documentation, including evaluations and medical records, and perform other related duties as needed.Duties and responsibilitiesPrimary job responsibilities include but are not limited to:Examine patients and diagnoses dental conditions.Perform dental procedures, including basic cleanings, fillings and repairs, extractions, and surgeries.Advise patients on treatment plans and oral hygiene.Interpret x-rays and other diagnostic tests.Refer patients to specialists if necessary and analyzes medical records and reports.Update patient recordsUse software, including medical database, research, diagnosis, billing, e-prescribing, scheduling, and telemedicine software.Follow all guidelines, regulations, and standards.Work as part of an integrated care team.May provide education and screening at Health Fairs and in the communityComplete other duties and related projects.QualificationsAbility to perform the duties described above.Licensed to work in CaliforniaMinimum of 2 years of experienceRoot Canals, 3rd molar extractions, crown and bridge experience a plus.English fluency, verbal and written. Secondary language a plus: Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese.Ability to communicate well with people of diverse cultural professional and experiential backgroundsAbility to establish and maintain effective work relationships as part of a multi-disciplinary team.AACI is an Equal Opportunity EmployerWorking conditionsWork is conducted in a standard dental office environment. Very occasional evenings and weekend work is required.Physical requirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to see to perform mouth-mirror inspection of the oral cavity.
