Prevention Program Manager

Essential Functions
Develops program goals and objectives to formulate the Douglas County strategic plan
Supports mobilization efforts in Douglas County to address behavioral health issues
Provides grant oversight and budget monitoring for multiple grant projects
Supervises staff and coordinates multiple grant projects
Coordinates program development, implementation, reporting, and evaluation as necessary to meet funding requirements
Manages coordination and subject matter content during the development of meetings, trainings, events, and conferences
Tracks and manages components required for project reporting, including budget monitoring
Provides supervision of Youth Empowerment and Prevention efforts
Provides supervision of school-based prevention strategies
Manages facilitation and coordination of Engage Douglas County meetings
Implements relevant prevention initiatives, including educating communities and youth to reduce the prevalence of substance misuse, suicide prevention, and mental health promotion
Provides training and technical assistance to community partners on substance misuse, suicide prevention, and mental health promotion
Manages other prevention projects as assigned in partnership with other prevention staff
Job may require the employee to be able to regularly drive to various DCCCA locations and other business locations throughout the day including early morning or evening hours
Other duties as assigned as needed
Education, Experience, and Licensure
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
At least two years of prevention experience preferred
Community organization and facilitation experience preferred
Must have community mobilization skills and the ability to build community relationships
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and efficient work practices
Training and experience in substance use prevention or human services preferred
Able to build consensus and support among diverse teams
Knowledge of community systems and their relevance to community change
Able to interact with a variety of interest and cultural groups
Able to develop and articulate a clear vision
Computer knowledge and proficiency required
Reporting skills and the ability to maintain records required
Must possess a valid state Driver's License, in force automobile liability insurance, and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization's insurability standard as defined by DCCCA policy. Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position
