We are seeking an Associate Attorney to become a part of our team! You will represent clients in legal proceedings, draw up legal documents and advise clients on legal transactions.
Job Summary
Conducts criminal and family law cases, appeals, and post-conviction relief case, draws up legal documents, advises clients as to legal rights, and practices other phases of law.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
Comply with all legal standards and regulations
Gathers evidence in divorce, civil, criminal, and other cases to formulate defense or to initiate legal action.
Conducts research, interviews clients, and witnesses and handles other details in preparation for trial.
Prepares legal briefs, develops strategy, arguments and testimony in preparation for presentation of case.
Files brief with court clerk.
Represents client in court, and before quasi-judicial or administrative agencies of government.
Interprets laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
Confers with colleagues with specialty in area of lawsuit to establish and verify basis for legal proceedings.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in law
Familiarity with various legal documents
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to build rapport with clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education: J.D. degree
Experience: Completion of Indiana state bar exam with successful admission
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $99,000.00 per year
