Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role• Architect and implement a modern Assessment platform using technologies such as TypeScript, React, React Native, Flutter, and GraphQL.• Establish and champion best-in-class engineering practices to ensure systems are modular, scalable, resilient, and flexible.• Define and enforce coding standards, architectural patterns, and quality metrics to maintain high engineering standards.• Lead technical design discussions, perform code reviews, and provide hands-on guidance across the engineering team.• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevSecOps practices.• Contribute to platform hosting, deployment, and runtime strategies, ensuring reliability and performance at scale.What You'll Need• Expert-level proficiency in modern application development, including TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, React, React Native, Flutter, Swift, and Kotlin.• Strong experience designing and consuming GraphQL and REST-based APIs.• Deep understanding of database design and performance, with hands-on experience using PostgreSQL and MongoDB.• Proven success delivering large-scale, high-impact platforms in production environments.• 10+ years of professional software development experience, with a significant portion in senior, staff, or principal-level roles.• A systems-level mindset with the ability to balance short-term delivery needs against long-term architectural health.What's On Offer• Competitive annual salary of $180,000 - $205,000 plus incentive plan target earnings of 15%.• Comprehensive healthcare coverage.• Generous paid time off including 12 paid holidays, volunteer time off, and paid family leave.• Support for professional development including tuition reimbursement and training certification support.Apply via Haystack today!
