The Maintenance Shop Supervisor reports to the Team Leader at the PDK Service Center and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations across multiple aircraft maintenance teams. This role provides direct leadership to Aircraft Maintenance Crew Chiefs, ensuring all maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. The supervisor serves as the primary point of contact between leadership and the shop floor, driving operational excellence and team performance.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and support Aircraft Maintenance Crew Chiefs and Technicians across all levelsOversee daily maintenance operations, including planning, scheduling, and shop load managementEnsure all work is performed in compliance with FAA regulations, Repair Station Manual requirements, and company proceduresReview and approve work orders, maintenance logs, and documentation for accuracy and completenessMonitor operational performance to ensure maintenance goals, deadlines, and quality standards are metFacilitate communication between technicians, Crew Chiefs, and leadership to ensure alignment and issue resolutionParticipate in audits, inspections, and corrective action initiatives as requiredSupport training and development of maintenance personnelIdentify and recommend improvements to maintenance processes, workflow, and resource utilizationEnsure proper use, control, and maintenance of tools, equipment, and facilitiesTrack shop load and support effective scheduling and resource allocationSupport workforce planning by identifying staffing needs and making recommendations to leadershipAuthorize overtime as necessary to meet operational demandsSupport performance management processes, including conducting performance reviewsAdhere to the Repair Station Manual and all applicable regulatory standardsPromote company policies and a collaborative team environmentFill Crew Chief slots as required Perform annuals/etc. during vacations or Crew Chief absence.Fill AOG slots as required Perform AOG events during vacations or AOG absence.Perform other duties as assignedSkills/QualificationsIdeal candidate has 8+ years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead roleFAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate requiredInspection Authorization (IA) strongly preferredRelevant military aircraft maintenance experience acceptedStrong knowledge of FAA regulations and aircraft maintenance best practicesProven leadership and team management skillsStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environmentStrong understanding of aircraft systems including airframes, engines, hydraulics, and electrical componentsAbility to diagnose and support resolution of complex mechanical and electrical issuesProficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering documentationStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to lift and carry up to 40 poundsComfortable working on ladders, stairs, and in confined spacesProficiency with hand tools, specialized test equipment, and Microsoft Office applicationsWhat We Offer11 paid holidays a year, plus 15 days of paid vacation time, and 6 days of paid sick/personal time to start with an increase to 20 days of paid vacation time after 5 years with Pilatus90% of medical, dental, and vision premiums paid for single coverage and 80% for family coverage, averaging $9,600 annuallyMonthly health savings account (HSA) contributions totaling $2,250 for single coverage and $3,000 for family coverage annually401(k) retirement plan matching up to 6%Life and long-term disability insurance premiums paid in fullTuition assistance available annually after the first yearThe salary is $100,000 - $123,000 per year depending on experience.
