Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Trauma OR for a top Healthcare client.This crucial role assumes accountability for providing expert nursing care to a designated group of surgical patients, specializing in high-acuity trauma cases within the Operating Room environment. The RN utilizes the nursing process, specialized instrumentation, and collaboration with the surgical team to deliver therapeutic care and ensure optimal patient safety and surgical outcomes.Job ResponsibilitiesAssume full responsibility and accountability for a designated group of surgical patients throughout the perioperative timeframeProvide expert nursing care by utilizing the nursing process, specialized instrumentation, and therapeutic use of self in the high-acuity OR settingCoordinate and prepare the operating room for trauma and emergency surgical cases, ensuring all equipment and supplies are readily availableMonitor the patient's physiological status during surgery, promptly reporting any changes to the surgeon and anesthesia providerCollaborate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare members to ensure a cohesive and safe surgical environmentMaintain strict adherence to all established policies, procedures, and safety standards within the operating roomEnsure accurate and timely documentation of all intraoperative care and interventionsRequirementsEducationGraduation from an accredited School of Nursing is requiredExperienceMinimum of two (2) years of Trauma OR or general Operating Room acute care experience is REQUIREDMust have direct experience in an acute care setting's Operating RoomCertifications/LicensesCurrent Florida license as a Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements) is requiredCurrent Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification, or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateCurrent Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateSkillsProven expertise in surgical nursing, focusing on the specialized needs of trauma patientsDemonstrated ability to function effectively under pressure in a high-stakes surgical environmentStrong collaboration and communication skills for working within a multidisciplinary surgical teamBenefits Competitive pay with opportunities for overtime and weekend shifts.
