Veterans are well represented, including in leadership, and the company recognizes the discipline, accountability, and mission-focused mindset that military veterans bring to the team.About the RoleThe Service Manager leads operations at the largest dealership location, overseeing a team of approximately 45 technicians across two service shifts, along with assistant managers and service advisors. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and long-term business growth. The Service Manager manages the annual service budget, monitors department performance and technician productivity, ensures accurate service records, and maintains strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business. Additional responsibilities include developing partnerships with vocational and technical schools, implementing pricing guides and maintenance menus, and following up with customers to confirm satisfaction. The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday first shift, with occasional extended hours or weekend visibility as needed.What a Strong Candidate Looks LikeThe ideal candidate brings proven leadership managing skilled technicians, building credibility with experienced personnel, and rallying teams around clear goals while maintaining accountability and morale. Candidates should have at least two years of leadership experience, and seven years in trucking, diesel service, or heavy equipment operations preferred. Experience with diesel maintenance, commercial truck service, heavy equipment manufacturing, or engine/powertrain systems is highly valuable. Veterans with fleet maintenance leadership experience-such as motor sergeants or maintenance supervisors-often excel in this role due to their ability to lead technical teams, maintain operational readiness, and manage complex maintenance operations.Compensation and BenefitsThis position offers a base salary of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, plus operational performance bonuses tied to service department results. Total compensation is determined by experience, certifications, competencies, and education.
