Sr. Power Bi ( GCP Data Analyst)

Senior Power BI + GCP Analytics Engineer Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior, hands-on Analytics Engineer with strong expertise across Power BI, GCP, BigQuery, SQL, and data engineering. This role combines end-to-end analytics ownership with enterprise reporting. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable building and transforming data in GCP as they are developing executive-level Power BI dashboards, semantic models, KPIs, and scorecards. This is not a traditional Power BI/reporting developer role. The successful candidate must demonstrate genuine hands-on experience with the backend data engineering lifecycle, including data ingestion, ETL/ELT, pipeline development, BigQuery, data transformation, and dimensional modeling. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, product owners, and senior leadership to translate business requirements into scalable, trusted analytics and reporting solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards, reports, executive scorecards, and KPI frameworks.Develop complex DAX measures, calculations, Power Query transformations, semantic models, and data models.Build and optimize GCP-based data ingestion and transformation pipelines.Perform hands-on ETL/ELT, data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and integration across enterprise data sources.Work extensively with Google BigQuery to develop, optimize, and support analytical datasets.Write complex and efficient SQL for data transformation, validation, analysis, and reporting.Design and implement scalable dimensional/data models supporting enterprise analytics.Validate data quality, reconcile reporting outputs, and troubleshoot data issues across the end-to-end pipeline.Translate business requirements into actionable KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and operational reporting solutions.Partner directly with business stakeholders and senior leadership to understand requirements and communicate analytical insights.Support large-scale enterprise datasets and optimize solutions for performance, scalability, and maintainability.Establish and maintain consistent KPI definitions and reporting frameworks across business functions.Analyze operational performance, trends, variance, outliers, and process health.Process AnalyticsThe role also includes a process analytics component involving Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) programs.Responsibilities May IncludeDeveloping and interpreting SPC/control charts.Monitoring process stability and operational health.Establishing thresholds and identifying significant process deviations.Performing outlier, variance, and trend analysis.Developing analytics to monitor Human-in-the-Loop processes and operational workflows.Identifying opportunities for process improvement through data-driven analysis.Required Qualifications5+ years of hands-on Power BI development.Strong experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.Advanced DAX and Power Query experience.Experience developing complex Power BI semantic models and data models.Demonstrated experience building executive dashboards, scorecards, KPI reporting, and enterprise reporting solutions.3+ years of hands-on GCP exposure-level skill. The Candidate Must Demonstrate BothStrong, hands-on Power BI ownership, ANDReal hands-on GCP/BigQuery/data engineering experience, including building or transforming data and working with ingestion/ETL/ELT pipelines.A candidate who has primarily consumed datasets created by a separate data engineering team does not meet the core requirement.Given the limited submission opportunity, prioritize candidates who can clearly demonstrate end-to-end ownership across Power BI + GCP + BigQuery + data pipelines on the same project or in recent roles.Skills:
