Warehouse Supervisor

Job DetailsDescriptionKey Responsibilities Team Leadership & Supervision: Directly supervise 15–50 warehouse associates (depending on facility size). Provide coaching, training, performance feedback, scheduling, and disciplinary actions as needed. Operations Management: Oversee receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control processes. Ensure all orders are processed accurately and on time. Productivity & Efficiency: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, on-time shipments, labor productivity, and cycle count accuracy. Implement process improvements and lean warehousing practices. Safety & Compliance: Enforce company safety policies, OSHA standards, and warehouse best practices. Conduct regular safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations. Inventory Accuracy: Work closely with inventory control teams to maintain high accuracy levels through cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy resolution. Equipment & Facility Management: Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, etc.). Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs. Reporting & Communication: Prepare daily/weekly reports on operational performance. Communicate effectively with upper management, other departments (logistics, customer service, procurement), and external carriers. Problem Solving: Address operational issues such as bottlenecks, staffing shortages, or customer complaints in real-time.RequiredQualifications & Requirements High school diploma or GED (associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred) 3–5+ years of progressive warehouse experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) — e.g., Accellos, SAP, Oracle, or similar Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment Experience with lean principles, continuous improvement, and 5S methodology is a plus Forklift certification and knowledge of material handling equipmentSkills Excellent leadership and people management skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and inventory software Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed (Schedule is 7am to 430pm Mon-Fri with occasional Saturdays to meet customer demand) Good communication skills (verbal and written) Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and safetyPhysical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally Comfortable working in varying temperatures (hot/cold warehouse environments)Reports To: Warehouse Manager or Operations Manager
