We are seeking a seasoned Internal Bookkeeping & Billing Specialist to join our internal finance team. This is not an entry-level role-ideal candidates will bring hands-on, lived experience in managing bookkeeping, billing, and financial reporting within a professional services environment. Key ResponsibilitiesDuties & Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to): Bookkeeping & Reconciliation: Maintain accurate books, reconcile accounts (bank, credit card, GL), and ensure proper allocation of all transactions. Billing & Invoicing: Prepare timely client invoices, monitor outstanding balances, and proactively resolve discrepancies. Financial Reporting: Assist in monthly/quarterly reporting, and support audits with well-organized documentation. Expense Management: Track expenses, monitor budget adherence, and provide insights on cost control. Collaboration: Partner across teams to ensure accurate billing inputs and maintain open communication with clients when needed. QualificationsExperience Required: Minimum 2-5 years in bookkeeping and billing (CPA firm, law firm, or professional services experience preferred). Proficiency in accounting systems (QuickBooks or similar) and Excel/MS Office Suite. Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to manage multiple priorities. Professional integrity, discretion with financial information, and excellent communication skills.
